Hello, I'm Peaceray. Your recent edit(s) to the page Royal Guards of Hawaii appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been corrected. If you believe your information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. While the term "revolution" was incorrect & needed altering, changing ithe label for the Overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom to the foreign-led coup in Hawaii was also a fallacy, as the Committee of Safety (Hawaii) was composed of Hawaiian subjects and residents. This group played both John L. Stevens & Liliʻuokalani, duping the former into calling US Marines & Sailors as protection for US businesses & tricking the latter into thinking that the US Military was part of the overthrow. Also, referring to the overthrow as a coup d'état is distinctly un-Hawaiian & violates the spirit of WP:COMMONNAME. I lived in Hawaiʻi for nearly 14 years & never heard anyone there refer to the overthrow as a coup. Indeed, I have a high school textbook on Hawaiian history that never mentions the word "coup" & exclusively uses the word "overthrow". Peaceray (talk) 19:39, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
