Request reason:

I want to edit, but it tells me I am currently unable to edit Wikipedia for the following reason: Please see Sockpuppet investigations/John Kwiecinski... what does this mean? Is this person a hacker? 192.100.55.34 (talk) 18:15, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It means there's a user evading a block, operating from your narrow IP address range. For more information, see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/John Kwiecinski. I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 18:24, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I understand why this narrow IP range is blocked. An editor was block evading and made unhelpful or unneessary edits from other IP's within this range, and that resulted in a 1-year range block. It was perfectly necessary for an admin to resort to that. Vandals and sockpuppeteers destroy the community; they have no business here. We have, from time to time, vandals making sock accounts from this range, although they do not belong in our community (they just move from place to place to evade blocks, and unfortunately our range has been affected). However, there are new editors here, and this block does affect other new editors in our community such as myself. I have absolutely no intentions to vandalize or disrupt the community, or make useless edits. If another editor from this range does something bad, I can undo their edit, or an admin can intervene and block this IP for a longer period of time if necessary. (It is ultimately our responsibilities to cleanup any mischievous acts done from this IP.) Wikipedia takes these things very seriously, so I totally understand. But I promise that I will make useful contributions, and if I make a mistake, I will be open for constructive criticism. I am civil, polite, and amicable towards other editors; and although I may be new, I am starting to like it here. We have professionals who have vast knowledge in various subjects, and may be willing to edit or create accounts from this IP range. We will not tolerate vandalism, and we will be responsible for any unacceptable behavior from other editors. 192.100.55.34 (talk) 17:36, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

As Yamla states, you can request an account be created for you, so you can avoid this problem- which is one of the disadvantages of editing without an account. 331dot (talk) 20:47, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You can request an account be created via WP:ACC. The block will then not affect you. --Yamla (talk) 19:50, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

On second thought, it's probably Ron liebman or some other LTA, as evidence has been shown[1]. He seems to know John Kwiecinski as well[2][3]. One of them stated that they "edit everywhere"[4]. Heck, it could even be Mangoeater or a well-known impersonator. We're uncertain if Diabedia operates near our area (probably not), but if they're apparently all related, we don't know how they've all managed to use our range—outside this range is 2607:fb90::/32 which has been used by John Kwiecinski (among other LTA). There is proof that there are some LTAs in the vincinity[5] and we know for sure that both John Kwiecinski and Ron liebman are closeby. 192.100.55.34 (talk) 14:45, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
