Welcome to Wikipedia!
I'm CrafterNova, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge. Although you're free to perform most tasks on Wikipedia without registering, it's highly recommended you create an account as there are many added benefits. It's private and secure and it's also free, simple, and quick to do.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. If you register an account, you can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you could put a link to it on your user page.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your IP address linked to your contributions page (however, if you create an account, your IP address will be hidden and you will be able to build a custom signature that can link to your own user page), a link to this IP's talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Welcome!
Important notice
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
ACCOUNT HAS BEEN CREATED
[edit]this is 198.2.93.215. I went ahead and made an account, since I seem to be part of the Wikipedia process and all. Might as well make it official, right? Please do not @ this IP address anymore, as I won't be checking it. Instead, include this account. If I figure out how to attribute these old edits to this account, I'll do it. For now, this will have to do. Thanks! Seven Thousand Spiders In A Trenchcoat (talk) 05:56, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
