Here are some other hints and tips:
- I recommend that you get a username. You do not have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, visit the Teahouse, our help forum for new users, or type {{helpme}}
here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! HiLo48 (talk) 22:58, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
Year articles
[edit]To keep the lists of births and deaths manageable, entries are limited to internationally notable people. Before adding any new entries to Year articles, please consider the following:
- Are they internationally notable?
- Are they already in the relevant Year in Topic articles?
- Is a reliable source cited?
If you can't answer "Yes" to all three questions, do not add. Deb (talk) 09:36, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Deb (talk) 15:17, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to 1967 in television. Samf4u (talk) 16:03, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 05:09, 5 November 2020 (UTC)- If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
