Please note that all the recent changes made to the page 'Eddy de Jongh' have been made by Eddy de Jongh himself. These changes are all but unconstructive as they correct a number of mistakes and provide more information. Moreover, I've included a selected bibliography. 'Book chapters should actually read 'articles', as that is what they are first and foremost. The current bibliography contains a number of errors that I had corrected a short while ago, but that you reversed. You may ask me to avoid editing or creating articles about myself but the factual changes (the page consists almost exclusively of dates, appointments and bibliographic information) I've made can barely be considered a conflict of interest.
In actual fact, you were so quick to undo changes made, you cannot possibly have come to the substantiated conclusion this page was being violated. You probably even failed to see that the final adjustments were made to parts of the page I myself had uploaded only a few hours earlier.
For your information, the Eddy de Jongh page was created by Crispulop (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Crispulop), who even states the following on his page: Since 2015 I started writing pages on first the Spinoza Prize winners and subsequently members Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). As of early I have created over 100 articles. I am not even really interested in academics, I think I just liked that the notability of KNAW members is very clear per Wikipedia:Notability (academics). So if you feel you can improve on those articles, please do! --2A02:A45F:869A:1:11DA:C3BD:FA6F:AF22 (talk) 10:31, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, 2001:1C02:2F23:EE00:F8CB:6810:7BD3:586D. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. -GoatLordServant ☂ (Talk - Contribs) 15:47, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
