Welcome[edit]

Information icon Hello, 2019MirWiki. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.--VVikingTalkEdits 13:31, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello VViking,
We'd like to remove this company wiki page (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mining_Innovation_Rehabilitation_and_Applied_Research_Corporation) for following reasons:
  1. The content on the wiki pages is very, very outdated. This gives people the wrong information about our company (MIRARCO).
  2. I've spent lots of time trying to update the content, but due to username issue, blocked account issue, having to send various Requests to get things working...too complicated!
As a conclusion, we see no need for this incorrect wiki page to appear on the Internet.
I appreciate if you could guide me to remove this wiki page.
Thank you. 2019MirWiki (talk) 19:09, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The notability criteria for companies is the sole determinant of whether a company is included in Wikipedia. The wishes of a company to have, or not have, a Wikipedia article about them is irrelevant.
I agree that the current article is atrocious. However, if reliable sources have enough good content to use, then it can be salvaged. But it will not be edited to suit the company's wishes, as at no point in the article's existence does the company have any right of ownership or control over its contents.
Your username is also in violation of our username policy, which prohibits usernames that represent a company. Accounts are for individuals, not companies, organizations or groups of people. Unless you change your username, your account will be blocked on those grounds alone.
It appears that another account named Mirarco was editing the article. If you - personally - were operating two accounts simultaneously, then this violates Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts. With a few exceptions, the rule is one account per person.
You have also indirectly admitted that you are involved with this company. You must read, understand and abide by the mandatory and non-negotiable terms of the paid editing disclosure policy. Disclosure of your involvement with the company and any compensation you receive (either as an employee or a third-party representative) is required. Note that you don't have to be paid specifically to edit Wikipedia for this policy to apply - mere employement is sufficient. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:01, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Red Phoenix talk 02:02, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm changing the username as you explained the reason and hope to unlock the account, so I can edit the page

Decline reason:

Your proposed username looks okay, but you will not be unblocked to edit the Mining Innovation Rehabilitation and Applied Research Corporation article. If that is your only goal, this is the end of the line. If, however, you want to edit subjects apart from your conflict of interest, then tell us what they are in your next unblock request. Hi PhilKnight,
What you mentioned I understand. To avoid the 'conflict of interest', is it possible to remove the content of the page from your (admin) end if I can't login? 2019MirWiki (talk) 14:56, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

2019MirWiki (talk) 14:22, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but no, I am not prepared to proxy for you. PhilKnight (talk) 17:00, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You won't be unblocked to contribute about your company. If that's all you wish to do, this is the end of the road. 331dot (talk) 17:42, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
