Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Phil Collins. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. GentlemanGhost 01:25, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

August 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Brent Bennett has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bmyspace\.com' (link(s): http://www.myspace.com/brentbennett76) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 16:49, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm XLinkBot. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Tony Granger, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links.
Your edit here to Tony Granger was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXxRZSHc2z4) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 21:00, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

Main Page Death Notices[edit]

Attn: Site Administrators. Robert Vaughn's name should surely be included on the main Wikipedia page among the most notable personalities who have passed in the past few days. As the top star of "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." and the last of the original "Magnificent Seven," Vaughn established himself as one of the most iconic stars of both film and television in the sixties, his films also including "The Ten Commandments" (as an extra), "Bullitt," "The Towering Inferno," and "Superman III," also earning both Oscar and Emmy nominations along the way, and serving as one of the first big stars to take up a political cause (opposition to the U.S. war in Vietnam) and travel on a speaking tour about it, culminating with his famous television debate with William F. Buckley Jr. that should serve as a model for other stars wanting to make a difference. I have been irate that some of the greatest stars of television and film (such as Yvonne Craig last year and Don Marshall last week) have been regularly dismissed from this well-deserved mention, but there is simply no excuse for omitting Robert Vaughn. One of the coolest guys ever. Betradon (talk) 22:25, 15 November 2016 (UTC)

Regarding "Query" submissions[edit]

Hi there! First of all, welcome to Wikipedia! Your contributions are very much appreciated.

I noticed that in a couple articles such as Dick Wilson (tribal chairman) and Occupation of Alcatraz, you seem to have added a query into the article body. Unfortunately, I have had to remove these queries because they do not belong inside the text of the actual article. If you would like these questions asked and answered, you should use the dedicated discussion pages for these articles at Talk:Occupation of Alcatraz and Talk:Dick Wilson (tribal chairman). Each article on Wikipedia has such a dedicated discussion page ("talk page"). You can use it to submit your queries. In the future, if you have any questions about an article, search the top of your browser screen for the link that says talk. Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions. I am always happy to help. AlexEng(TALK) 00:49, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
