You are the vandal. 2600:4040:498D:100:E9F8:F2C7:AE70:4712 (talk) 19:09, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please see WP:DEADNAME and do not ignore the hatnote on the page. Pascal is primarily known under her birthname, therefore it is mentioned in the article. Lard Almighty (talk) 19:12, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are plainly incorrect. Pascal is primarily known under her chosen name. See: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&q=lucas%20pascal,lux%20pascal
In addition, the hatnote says nothing about her deadname. 2600:4040:498D:100:E9F8:F2C7:AE70:4712 (talk) 19:21, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The hatnote says: Do not remove Lux's birthname per WP:Manual_of_Style/Biography#DEADNAME, specifically: "A living transgender or non-binary person's former name should be included in the lead sentence of their main biographical article only if they were notable under it; introduce the name with "born" or "formerly"" As Lux so far has only been credited as Lucas Balmeceda, we use that name to introduce the biography section. She transitioned in 2021. All of her acting credits predate that. Therefore she is notable under her previous name. Lard Almighty (talk) 19:25, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's not a hatnote.
See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Hatnote 2600:4040:498D:100:E9F8:F2C7:AE70:4712 (talk) 19:28, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I meant hidden note. In any event, that message is in the text that you removed and therefore you ignored it, multiple times, which makes the edits vandalism. If you think we shouldn't list the birth name, you should take it up on the talk page. Lard Almighty (talk) 19:32, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I deleted it because it was not relevant. If you go through the history, you'll see the page was only created the month she came out as trans. Before that, she was not notable in the English speaking world (relevant to English wkipedia). She had a page under her deadname long before that on the spanish language wikipedia, which you will note I have not edited, because she met Wikipedia's notability standards in that language.
Just because you don't like it, does not make it vandalism. 2600:4040:498D:100:E9F8:F2C7:AE70:4712 (talk) 19:46, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That is not what the policy says. Pascal was notable under her previous name. Whether or not she had a Wikipedia article previously is irrelevant. She is notable because she is an actress with a solid list of acting credits, all of which were under her birth name. Therefore, according to Wikipedia policy, we note her birth name. That is Wikipedia policy. If you don't like it, discuss it on the talk page. Lard Almighty (talk) 19:51, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You don't even know what a hatnote is. You were wrong about the degree of Pascal's notability under her preferred name. You are simply incorrect.
Stop reverting edits that maintain lgbt dignity. 2600:4040:498D:100:E9F8:F2C7:AE70:4712 (talk) 19:59, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I typed hat instead of hidden. I know what both are. You are the one ignoring it, whatever it is. Lots of people only have articles created long after they become notable. In Pascal's case she is notable as an actor. She is not primarily notable for anything else, and her acting credits are all under her previous name. So we mention that name to be clear who we are talking about. That is Wikipedia policy. It really is that simple. Lard Almighty (talk) 20:03, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
