This is an article about the BRITISH Minister of Defence. As it is the British MOD, British English spelling should apply, as it is NOT the Minister of "Defense". I changed the spelling in an article about a British institution to the standard British English spelling of defence. Why would there be US English spellings in an article about the *British* MOD? British English spelling in articles about British/international subjects is standard on wikipedia, with US English being for US-focussed articles. I am changing it back to the proper spelling.
