Request reason:

I was requesting an unblock so that I can change the user from fndfightingblindness to something different. It is to my understanding that the process that I followed was to correct one in order to request a username change. I understand that my current username reflects a name of an organization. I wish to change this, but I can't understand why I was denied the right to do so. If I am doing the wrong procedure for making a username request, please let me know or direct me in the right path. Thank you.

Decline reason:

Hi. To request unblocking so you can change your username, please place {{unblock-un|your new username}} at the bottom of this page. You can check whether your username is available at Special:Listusers. Sam Korn (smoddy) 13:12, 7 July 2008 (UTC) Sam Korn (smoddy) 13:12, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

User name blocked[edit]

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because of concerns that the chosen username may not meet our username policy.
This is often not a reflection on the user, and you are encouraged to choose a new account name which does meet our guidelines and are invited to contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. If you feel this block was made in error, you may quickly and easily appeal it - see below.

Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username. In brief, usernames should not be offensive, disruptive, promotional, related to a 'real-world' group or organization, confusing, or misleading.

If you have already made edits and wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name you may request a change in username. To do so, please follow these directions:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use. The account is created upon acceptance – do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change since we can far easier allocate your new name to you, if it is not yet used. Usernames that have already been taken are listed here. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username. Keep in mind, though, that creating a new account is much faster and easier.
Last, the automated software systems that prevent vandalism may have been activated, which can cause new account creation to be blocked also. If you have not acted in a deliberately inappropriate manner, please let us know if this happens, and we will deactivate the block as soon as possible. You may also appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Allowing username change to 2CAgain (talk · contribs). Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking.

  • {{helpme}}Hello, I made a request for a new username as you can see. I made a mistake by and typed in the current username incorrectly, forgetting that is case sensitive. I was wondering if I have to make a new request or what is the proper policy to do so? Thanks. (FndFightingBlindness (talk) 14:52, 15 July 2008 (UTC)).[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:FFB Color Logo w o Tagline SM.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:FFB Color Logo w o Tagline SM.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:20, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
