Re:List of mammals of Algeria[edit]

The source you used for the grey whale at List of mammals of Algeria is not reliable. You have reverted my edits twice so far. Consider this your warning; if you revert 3 times, that constitutes edit warring. Ddum5347 (talk) 02:41, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Warning? You didn't even check the latest reference I provided, and see you talking about warning others regards edit warring, how many times did you get blocked then?58.0.91.110 (talk) 02:52, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't revert or edit war anymore. Even then, that's irrelevant. The source has a single individual as a vagrant to Algeria, not a permanent population. And it is from a Canadian news agency, which does not make it a reliable source. Ddum5347 (talk) 03:06, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Vagrants including birds, should be counted.58.0.91.110 (talk) 03:10, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, but considering this is the only source with that information, I'm inclined to not include the animal. Ddum5347 (talk) 03:11, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You just said you "don't revert or edit war anymore". Huh.58.0.91.110 (talk) 03:14, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. I'm not, but you definitely are. Ddum5347 (talk) 03:25, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Funny. How ironic YOU are saying that. You haven't even argued about the latest sources in the first place. But ok. Up to you. I'm feeling a bit of futility and the whole situation seemed pointless to me. 58.0.91.110 (talk) 03:35, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The last two sources are just as unreliable, but I don't feel like changing it again. And ironic how? I'm not the one that is currently edit warring. Ddum5347 (talk) 03:38, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Fine man, I said up to you. But anyway, if you search on Google as "balena grigia algeria" in the last 24 hours, you would see dozens of results including Corriere della Sera. I would just change the reference to Corriere della Sera, and will no longer edit about this.58.0.91.110 (talk) 03:44, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Good choice. Ddum5347 (talk) 18:29, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
