Information icon Hello, I'm IssacT6. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Yeo Jia Min have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Please do not remove the ancestry history, the source citing it is there for a reason. And when finding sources, please cite a reliable source to do so. Don't revert back the edit when other people have done so, if you want to know why, you can leave a message on the user's respective talk page. Thanks.

Her ancestry history is redundant. The topic is about her, not her family. 58.136.211.166 (talk) 17:40, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that you take a look at Loh Kean Yew's article and check it out. His early life is related to his parents. You can check out other articles not related to badminton even, for example Nigel Ng.

Adding on to what I said, it is a default style that is followed on biographies, so I feel that there is no need to remove it. signed by User:IssacT6 17:47, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Loh Kean Yew and Yeo Jia Min is different. In the case of Loh, it is understandable, as Loh was not born in SG. However, Yeo was. Yeo has always been in Singapore, Loh wasn't. Bringing up the ancestries of her parents makes little relevance. 58.136.211.166 (talk) 17:51, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's the same thing with Nigel Ng then?

The point of bringing up the ancestries is to point out that her parents are not local here until they moved here. I don't see anything irrelevant in that? signed by User:IssacT6 17:55, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
