Don’t rename pieces in chess variants
[edit]Hello, I'm Samboy. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Capablanca Chess have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. While the Bishop + Knight is generally called the Archbishop in modern Chess Variants, and the Rook + Knight is called the Chancellor, many variants use different names for those pieces, so we should honor the names used in the original variant rules instead of retroactively renaming them. Samboy (talk) 17:12, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
- Also, I can’t find Seirawan Chess over at chess.com, so the assertion that chess.com uses different names for its pieces in Seirawan Chess makes no sense, since you can't play Seirawan Chess there. Samboy (talk) 17:37, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
