You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (63.241.40.128) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on this page. Again, welcome! --XLinkBot (talk) 20:26, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

September 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page List of Sigma Kappa chapters has been reverted.
Your edit here to List of Sigma Kappa chapters was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://sigmakappaosu.weebly.com/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 20:26, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Brownie Mary[edit]

We need to talk about your new additions before we can add it. On Wikipedia, we go with what the sources say, however, we are encouraged to correct any erroneous information. With your help, I would like to do that. Please discuss this issue with me here or on the article talk page. You've made the following claims:

  1. Brownie Mary was born in 1921, not 1922. How do you know this? The sources cite both dates, however I chose to go with 1922 because I believe that was the date Mary herself used. If this is incorrect, I would like to fix it.
  2. Rathbun's ashes were not stolen. How do you know this? If Garchik's information amounts to unsubstantiated rumor, I would be happy to remove it.
  3. You say that you helped scatter Mary's ashes in FL. Can you provide any sources that documented this incident or at least wrote about it in some way? We can't include eyewitness reports.

Let me know how I can work with you to fix this article and improve it. Viriditas (talk) 23:51, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Based on your new information, I have removed the rumor from the article.[1] However, we cannot add the new information unless you are able to offer a reliable source for it. Viriditas (talk) 00:03, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

December 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Matt Deres. I noticed that you recently removed content from Marsha S. Berzon without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Hi Matt, Judge Berzon's family should not be listed on the Wikipedia page. It puts them in danger and also provides a path to the judge. The supporting references don't have her family members' names. Her birth date is also a problem; it creates higher risk for identity theft. A year should be adequate.

Thanks.
