Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours to prevent further vandalism.

Request reason:

This block was effected simply to secure actual vandalism of the Talk page for the article on the singer Jimmy Dean, which in turn prevents discussion of a significant error in the body of the article. But, ultimately, I guess that it's okay that Wikipedia shoots itself in the foot. —68.105.244.163 (talk) 01:44, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 02:22, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

The charge that I vandalized is spurious; it is grossly unreasonable to reject my appeal for failing to confess to a spurious charge. The talk page in question has been vandalized four times now, none of them by me. A comment reporting and explaining an error in the article has been deleted twice now. A comment reporting that removal has been deleted thrice now. My comment reverting those deletions and summarizing those comments was deleted. In the mean time, the error in the article reported by the initial comment stands.68.105.244.163 (talk) 22:55, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

If you prefer, we can call it disruptive editing, but whatever you call it, the block is valid, and you don't provide assurance here that the actions will not repeat. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 23:01, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

The disruption was in erasure by others of any attempt to point to the error in the article. I don't know why you've escalated commitment to preserving that erasure and, operationally, to preserving the error. I'm content to point-out the truth of the matter here; I don't need for Wikipedia to be any better than it is. —68.105.244.163 (talk) 23:47, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Procedural decline; this IP address is no longer blocked. Yamla (talk) 11:32, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
