Welcome to Wikipedia!
I'm Walter Görlitz, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge. Although you're free to perform most tasks on Wikipedia without registering, it's highly recommended you create an account as there are many added benefits. It's private and secure and it's also free, simple, and quick to do.

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your IP address linked to your contributions page (however, if you create an account, your IP address will be hidden and you will be able to build a custom signature that can link to your own user page), a link to this (this IP's talk) page, and a timestamp.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!

Number use
[edit]Wikipedia has a Manual of Style for use of numbers: MOS:NUM. In it, we read, at MOS:NUMS, "Integers greater than nine expressible in one or two words may be expressed either in numerals or in words". And, "quantities should be all spelled out or all in figures, even if one of the numbers would normally be written differently". So this change that you made violates the second part, but doesn't violate the first. This MoS does not match that of some other manuals of style. Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:44, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Need You Now (How Many Times), without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 07:29, 11 August 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm TheDoDahMan. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Smoking age have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the help desk. Thanks. TheDoDahMan (talk) 15:20, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
