Why is the information posted here is partiallly correct, LFS Burnham was more than what is written here. What about the fact he was a very good written and the holder of a law degree. He wrote most of the PPP Cheddi Jagan letters and other legal communication material for Jagan, all before LSFB became leader of the Country of Guyana. The food created from local products was rejected by the world power so to speak, as from the turn of the century 2000, they are calling that very method of building a nation “sustainability”.

Before the 2000 there was the notable demand for planting of tree for the sustenance of the forest and the natives in that locality, even other countries that use lumber for economic growth. The list is very long. How could he be the riched black person when the Guyana $ dollar was devalued to the point of being nothing against the USD$? Think people it like saying the riches person is the riches indian yet the rupee is nothing compare to the usd.

What should be stated was LFSB made the Republic of Guyana education free from Kindergarden to University, that included the books. By this singualr act many blacks who were enslaved and denied employment by the PPP govt were able to be educated. Many citizens from faraway countries in South Asia, AFrica and caribben came to Guyana for free education. What should be reported also is that his government gave the people of Guyana affordable homes, something that was torn and trample upon by the PPP govt during their previous ruling.

He fought off outsiders bringing drugs (cocaine,marijuana etc) into the country in 1970s, which preserved the youths and enable the country to have proper leaders. The country paid a high price for that, the bauxite industry immediately to a turn that resulted in the economy declining and many eating at the table show their true colors.

LFS Burnham gave land to the Indian of the country who said they wanted to farm rice and sugar particularly sugar. many of whom came from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and such places. They were educated and so forth before journeying to Canada, America and other places. Where they defamed the country and its leader.

The bauxite from Guyana, along with the sugar two of the main exporting products enbale Guyana to feeed itself and help the surrounding caribbeans Islands. There is much more to a person than what those who dont like him or those for political gain.
