Regarding edits made during April 4 2008

[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning if you did not make any unconstructive edits. (ESkog)(Talk) 13:32, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please compromise about the map on Orūzgān Province and don't turn this into an edit war. Historic maps are ok to have. The text of the map has been amended to tell the reader that it is not accurate today. Kingturtle (talk) 13:34, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm new here, I have no idea what an "edit war" might be. But I do know for certain that some things are true and some things are false. That colored map is a false depiction of Oruzgan province. If Wiki's intention is to providee the truest information possible, then there is no "edit war", the map has to be deleted, and you should busy yourself finding a true map, rather than scolding me for insisting on removing known falsehoods.

please avoid an edit war

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Orūzgān Province. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Kingturtle (talk) 13:35, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated.
