Punctuation changes[edit]

Hello. In reviewing some of the recent edits made by a user or users from this IP address, it appears that you have in many cases made good faith efforts to improve the encyclopedia. On the other hand, there are also examples where you have not followed the Manual of Style, and as a result, a certain amount of cleanup has been necessary. In particular, please note: Wikipedia prefers double quotation marks (MOS:DOUBLE) and certain abbreviations should be written with periods / full stops (MOS:POINTS).

It's possible that these cases simply reflect that you are new to editing Wikipedia. However, please take careful note when other editors point out that you are making inappropriate changes. If you repeat edits after being informed that they are incorrect, your editing might be perceived as disruptive.

Please stop changing double quotation marks to single quotation marks. This edit is a good example of where you have gone against the Manual of Style and introduced inconsistency into an article. Given that you are making some edits that seem to be constructive, I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. I was hoping that my more detailed explanation of the MOS might make further warnings unnecessary. Unfortunately, if you persist in mixing useful edits with edits that need to be reverted, you are just creating extra work for other editors.
