Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, A.roussillon. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Anne Haour, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:59, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again — earlier I queried your relationship with the subject of the article Anne Haour, and also placed a COI tag on the article. You didn't respond to the query, nor have you made any COI disclosures (that I can find, at least). However, you did remove the COI tag from the article, with an edit note 'no conflict of interest'. Now, I don't want to out you here, but a quick web search suggests you might be a colleague of Anne Haour — if that is the case, would you perhaps like to review the COI guidance again and reconsider your stance? Thanks, --DoubleGrazing (talk) 20:25, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

May 2021[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Anne Haour. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. In addition to the COI tag removal already mentioned, you appear to have also removed the external links tag, without addressing the underlying issue, namely that there are too many external links listed in the article, contravening WP:ELMIN. If you are unsure as to whether or not a tag can be removed, it is probably best to leave it there. Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 20:48, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to John Mack (anthropologist), without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:42, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
