OSL Consulting

[edit]

The concern that I have noticed is the references. References make or break many wikipedia articles. The first issue is that the reference is from the OSL Consulting website. Wikipedia policy is that articles should not be a form of promotion or advertising for a company. In addition, the article is has primary sources. Although wikipedia allows the use of primary sources, primary sources are often difficult to use appropriately. "While they can be both reliable and useful in certain situations, they must be used with caution in order to avoid original research. While specific facts may be taken from primary sources, secondary sources that present the same material are preferred. Large blocks of material based purely on primary sources should be avoided. All interpretive claims, analyses, or synthetic claims about primary sources must be referenced to a secondary source, rather than original analysis of the primary-source material by Wikipedia editors. Wikipedia articles should be based mainly on reliable secondary sources."-Faiz Haider

My suggestion is that you comply more references from secondary sources like the Institute of Chemical Engineers. The other trick/tip, reference as much as possible (try to reference every sentence if possible) because once you reference the material and someone deletes it. The editor who deleted the sourced material would be vandalizing, you could easily revert the deleted material and scare the vandal by adding one of the following tags Wikipedia:Twinkle or Wikipedia:Huggle. In addition, you could contact the administration for unfair deletion/vandalism (for serious cases like repeat deletion).

In the case of the article: OSL Consulting, I would just try to find resources other than the company website for reference and references most of the sentences. Zabranos (talk) 06:52, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No problem

Hi

[edit]

I added a sub section called EKB Project to the OSL article and commented on the talk page. Hope this helps out. (Just keep adding more info to the article). Zabranos (talk) 20:43, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I also noticed that most of the article is the same as the previous one with different references. This might be the cause of them considering to delete it. Add more informations like the EKB Project (that I added). Zabranos (talk) 22:43, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
