Hello! Hope you're having a great weekend. See you Monday morning. EYarde1 (talk) 19:21, 11 June 2011 (UTC) Hello This is Mike. Hope you had a great weekend. I'll see you Monday. I am looking at a couple different articles including, one about highway hypnosis and the negativity effect-which is the reverse of positive psychology. I am also looking at two others that just struck my interest- one about mental blocks and the other about sport psychology. (AMJonesPT (talk) 12:15, 21 June 2011 (UTC)) I added a little bit to the Highway hypnosis page from an article from the Human Factors Journal (AMJonesPT (talk) 17:51, 23 June 2011 (UTC))[reply]

Week 2 assignments

[edit]

Your critique of Optimalism is ok, albeit brief.

The sourced statement you added to Highway hypnosis is plagiarism. You have to write your own words, that are supported by a fact. See WP:PLAGIARISM for more information.

You haven't listed your articles yet. I'll still award you some credit if you get them done this week. Be sure to post on my talk page after you've completed the assignments. --MTHarden (talk) 20:49, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm impressed with your efforts this week! Keep it up! --MTHarden (talk) 15:51, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:MartinSeligman2011.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 04:08, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Optimalism vs. optimism

[edit]

Hey, I put this on the talk page for the article too. But it looks like you actually wrote about optimism not optimalism. I'm not sure how much is topically wrong, or just spelled wrong, or what. So... probably want to fix that. --MTHarden (talk) 03:11, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Assignment Psy 101

[edit]

I created an account on wikipedia, added to my talk page and then left a friendly message for a member of my group. User_talk: EYarde1 I left a comment on Highway hypnosis talk page and then added a bit to the article just adding a little about how to prevent highway hypnosis. The articles that I was considering to edit were: Highway hypnosis

Mental block

Negativity effect

Paranoid Schizophrenia

Optimalism

Paraphasia

I added a reference to Highway hypnosis on June 19

I chose the article Optimalism for my project

I created a bibliography for the article on the main page of the article

I then created a sandbox to start working on my article /Optimalism

After editting my sandbox I moved the material into the main space of the article. I choose to review,Illusion of transparency and Coping.

I left comments and feedback on the the above articles' talk pages. talk:Illusion of transparency and talk: Coping

The article Optimalism has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Optimalism is a non-notable neologism. Unless you can document substantial interest by WP:RS (not bloggers) independent of the author and his publisher, this should not be a Wikipedia article separate from the article about the author.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
