Hello Sir,

Thanking you very much. On the line 385, in our records we have Jalal Fakhruddin and not Shamsuddin. All three Bohras differ in this matter.

Information icon Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ali ibn Abi Talib, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 13:18, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Uthman, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ghani. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:57, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Ja'far al-Sadiq, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Notice

The article Ubayd Allah ibn Abbas has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article was created by banned user SheryOfficial (SPI for ShabberMojtaba; SPI for 119.73.112.214 and 119.63.138.181) and any edits by other users were purely cosmetic. SheryOfficial is an LTA who cannot be trusted to act in good faith. Unless someone is willing to verify the given information in the sources cited, the article should be deleted.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 11:36, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Umar does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! -- Toddy1 (talk) 09:44, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes Ab.Saleem, we love you but please use edit summaries. It makes life easier for all of us. While you're at, please also have a look at WP:NOTBROKEN: sometimes you replace redirects with the proper article title, which is not only unnecessary but at times also detrimental. Thanks a lot! ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 14:24, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, Ab.Saleem! Hope all is well with you. This proposal to rename Fatimah might be of interest to you. Please consider participating in it. If you happen to know someone else who'd support the proposal, please also let them know. Thanks! Albertatiran (talk) 19:04, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Initial hamza is not transliterated

[edit]

Hi, thanks for updating transliteration and other things on articles of Islamic figures. I wanted to alert you that in this edit, you added an initial hamza (ʾ) in strict transliteration (ʾAḥmad rather than Aḥmad). However, per WP:MOSAR (and per common usage in reliable sources) we do not transliterate hamza when it's the first letter in a word (this is different from initial ayn, ʿ, which we do write in strict transliteration but not in basic transcription). So we write Aḥmad (strict) and Ahmad (basic), but ʿAlī (strict) and Ali (basic). Thanks, ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 12:06, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
