CHECK THE SOURCES. I DID NOT VANDALIZE THE ARTICLE. 166.182.82.188 (talk) 02:40, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

Question: why my edits to Melissa Hines page considered vandalism?

Hello Abelmoschus_Esculentus

I recently made some changes to Professor Melissa Hines' page at her request (I am her assistant), as she felt the information stated there was inaccurate. She does not know who put the page there in the first place, and would prefer it to be accurate.

The changes were reverted twice and marked as 'vandalism', almost immediately. I deleted a small paragraph, and did not otherwise damage or change the article (apart from a minor typo).

Please can you help me to understand how we can change Professor Hines' page without it immediately being reverted? I am new to Wikipedia editing, so perhaps I should have done something differently?

Thanks in advance for your help/guidance.

@Psychassist: Actually you are violating WP:COI, I suggest you to read that guideline first. But the IP shouldn't mark your edits as vandalism since they aren’t . Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 11:07, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
@Psychassist: However, I think the IP is correct in reverting your edits since you didn’t provide a valid or reasonable reason for your removal of content. Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 11:42, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

How do I start a new article? Please help.

I would like to start an article. Can you help me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 17HughesAsh (talkcontribs) 14:05, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

TJ Kirk Residence Edit

Sorry if this isn’t the best place to do this. I’m new to Wikipedia etiquette.

The reversion you made on the page erased correct information. He lives in Louisiana and the exact city isn’t known. I think you should undo your edit. TwoPowerfulThumbs (talk) 00:45, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

@TwoPowerfulThumbs: It is unsourced. See WP:CS and WP:RS. Thanks. Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 00:48, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

The information you reverted it back to is unsourced is it not? I see no citations. If that is your reasoning it seems as though it would justify the complete removal of the information.

When I am on a desktop I make the changed again and provide sources. TwoPowerfulThumbs (talk) 00:50, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

My Edits

Hello Abelmoschus Esculentus,(I like your name) I do not understand why my first edit was changed. I was hoping to work on a section that included elephant toothpaste's contribution to the kid science community. Thank you, (67.170.97.5 (talk) 02:14, 6 June 2018 (UTC))

Because it shouldn't be there. Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 02:16, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Jimmie Rivera

I don't see how thats vandalism when Rivera's official reach listed on UFC pre-fight tale of the tapes is 68 1/2 but I digress. Powderkegg (talk) 03:24, 8 June 2018 (UTC)

@Powderkegg: That was not vandalism... That's unsourced. ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 03:26, 8 June 2018 (UTC)

Why you disagreed with the changes I made on article about Maheshwaris ???

Seriously... its the "Ridgway" barn. Marion J. Ridgway Door Prarie Barn.

In reference to wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marion_Ridgeway_Polygonal_Barn

The builder was named "Marion J. Ridgway" No E. Here is a link to his grave in Laporte Indiana : https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/95583462 Here is a link to a book about round barns. If you look at the inset photo from the 1880s you can clearly see the name on the side "M.J. Ridgway's" (page 11) : https://books.google.com/books?id=7cT18pRLgcgC&pg=PR15&lpg=PR15&dq=marion+J+ridgway+round+barn+book&source=bl&ots=-OmsEpuys7&sig=vtjBJjDIJI4zb_5dsCk4JMKW1g4&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiI_oaZj8XbAhVGQ6wKHZIlCxAQ6AEwBXoECAEQTA#v=onepage&q=marion%20J%20ridgway%20round%20barn%20book&f=false

Also, my grandfather's house is right across the street. His name is John Ridgway. His grandfather is the builder.

thanks, Ryan Watson Ryanrwatson100 (talk) 22:35, 8 June 2018 (UTC)

@Ryanrwatson100: Well according to the United States Department of the Interior National Park Service, the name of the historical site is "Ridgeway, Marion, Polygonal Barn". Should I trust your source or the US government? Here is the link: https://secure.in.gov/apps/dnr/shaard/r/20b84/N/Ridgeway_Polygonal_Barn_Laporte_CO_Nom.pdf ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 23:19, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
@Ryanrwatson100 Not only the U.S. Government's National Park Service has it spelled with an "E", but the public domain image at Commons uses an "E", it appears that the State of Indiana and the City of LaPorte use an "E" as well, it's ubiquitous and is now the accepted way to spell it.
@Abelmoschus Esculentus Incidentally line 2 in the infobox is missing an "E". Coryphantha Talk 19:46, 9 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that I deleted the following string on Rafael Nadal career (2018) section because it shows controversy. The referenced section says about the Rome Masters tournament, while the referenced string is about "in the Principality"...

The string below may have being implemented in not the correct section: This victory was his 356th match win in Masters 1000 level, thus surpassing Roger Federer for most matches won in the Principality.

Thank you!
