Relationship of Shirdi Sai Baba with Sathya Sai Baba - Myth or Fact?[edit]

Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba was born on 23rd November, 1926, roughly 8 years after the Death of Shirdi Sai Baba.

At the age of 14 in 1940, Sathya Sai Baba claimed to be the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba; it is said that he even gave darshan to many of the devotees of Shirdi Baba as Shirdi Sai Baba. The thing is, every person has to face an opposition. The opposition of Sathya Sai Baba always slammed his claim of being the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba. However, to all devotees of Sathya Sai Baba, even devotees of Shirdi Baba who have seen both Shirdi Baba and Sathya Baba, have been convinced that both of them are Avatars. After all, faith is the most important thing we need to experience divinity.

In 1999, the TV series called Shirdi Sai Parthi Sai Divya Katha, produced by famous South-Indian actress Anjali Devi, was released, that presented in front of us the life history of Shirdi Sai Baba and the life of Sathya Sai Baba till his Avatarhood Declaration at the age of 14. Sathya Sai Baba himself approved the serial. He even provided shooting facilities within Prashanti Nilayam, his ashram complex. The story for the show was given by Sathya Sai Baba himself. Regarding the part of the serial dealing with the life history of Shirdi Sai Baba, the story given by Sathya Sai Baba is believed to be the most authentic one about the life of Shirdi Baba.

Coming back to the claims of the great Guru, social worker and philantropist, Sri Sathya Sai Baba; He passed on the theory of the triple Sai Avatar - Shirdi Sai, the one who came to prepare the divine food; Sathya Sai, the one who came to distribute the divine food among the living beings; and Prema Sai, the one who is about to reveal himself to the world very soon to help the living beings reap and enjoy the fruits of the divine food.

In accordance to Sathya Sai Baba's discourse at Brindavan titled Brindavan Kadugodi, in 1989, Prema Sai Baba was supposed to be born in Eastern India, on the East Banks of River Ganga; which was wrongly interpreted and people thought Prema Sai would be born in Doddamallur, Karnataka. In other discourses during December 2002 and 2003, Sathya Sai Baba indicated that Prema Sai Baba has already taken birth during 2002-03. All these discourses are available to be read in the various volumes of the book Sathya Sai Speaks.

What should we conclude from here? It all depends on our faith. However, a message to devotees of both Gurus from my side, please honour both the Gurus. Never spread hate and inculcate their teachings in your own lives. Only then, we will be able to carry forward the Sai Mission and the message of Equality, Brotherhood and Non-Violence.

"Love All, Serve All. Help Ever, Hurt Never."

Om Sri Sai Ram.

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Abitatha Roy, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Sathya Sai Baba have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Moneytrees🏝️Talk🌴Help out at CCI! 16:51, 26 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
