Hi, Abright5, and thanks for your contributions to the article The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian! I thought you may be care to know that there is a WikiProject working to improve articles about Narnia, and your help would be greatly appreciated. Please consider joining the WikiProject Narnia. Thank you! Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 15:33, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Abright. Good to have you with us! Typically a user box, like {{User Narnia-WP}}, goes on your user page, which in this case is User:Abright5. You haven't made your user page yet, where you can tell a little about yourself, or list a few projects you're involved with, or add more userboxes. See also WP:UP for Wikipedia's guideline on user pages. Click on the red link above to create the page, if you'd like. It's not mandatory to use the userbox, either.
We have yet to start a really big project on the WP Narnia, but our best program right now is to "adopt an article," which is taking an article up for adoption from the list (or finding one on your own, that's fine too), particularly on a topic that you like and are experienced in, and to try to bring it up to good article status, and eventually featured article status. This means articles need to be referenced; in our case this will probably be with Lewis' text alone, but if you want to reference something like a companion novel that's a reliable source, such as Paul Ford's Companion to Narnia, that's fine too. Or, if you don't want to adopt an article, just having your name on the list puts you on call for us if and when we want to send out a newsletter informing members of our next steps. If you have any more questions, feel free to talk to me on my talk page again or on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Narnia. See you around! --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 13:18, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, sure. Here're are some choices: If you want to reference information (see WP:CITE… either use Harvard referencing, or the citation templates; if you have any questions about how to use these, let me know or as on the talk page of one of the pages), take your pick between Peter Pevensie and Caspian X as those two seem to be in the best shape. You'll need your books and a good mind for remembering where information is. If you're looking to expand smaller articles, try Tirian or Cair Paravel or Lady of the Green Kirtle. You may also want to check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Narnia/Character article example for what's expected of a character article. Have fun, and update your progress, if you like, on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Narnia, to inform what article you're "adopting." --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 21:49, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Narnia Newsletter March 2007[edit]

WikiProject Narnia Newsletter
Issue 1 - 2nd March 2007 . Written by User:Sp3000 (talkcontribs)
WikiProject Narnia News
  • The WikiProject has been a little quiet lately. There are still quite a lot of Narnia stubs. It has been nearly three months since we last worked on Minor characters in The Chronicles of Narnia, which still looks very much like a draft page. That would be a nice article to get into the main namespace.

  • WikiProject Narnia's first newsletter issue has been published. You're looking at it right now!
Member News
To-do
  1. Add characters and bios to minor character draft page.
  2. Expand Narnia stubs.
  3. Link the first mention of a year in all Narnia-related articles to Narnian timeline.
  4. Rewrite character articles to use the Narnian character example article format.
  5. Adopt an article and improve it to the best of your ability.
  6. Wikify The Chronicles of Narnia article, especially the new lead and Narnian Universe sections
From the founder

I am proud to present our first issue of the WikiProject Narnia Newsletter. I decided that we needed to alert everybody who had expressed interest in the project that there is much work to be done! Please check in every once in a while at the project talk page, and tell other project members what you've been up to in terms of Narnia articles.

Article of the Month: Edmund Pevensie
  • Edmund Pevensie is a major character in The Chronicles of Narnia. He appears as a principal character in three of the seven books. Edmund was the second to enter Narnia, although he tried to betray his siblings to the White Witch. However, Edmund managed to help save Narnia by neutralizing the White Witch's most powerful weapon, her wand.
Collaboration of the Month: Shasta (Narnia)
  • Shasta is currently quite short and not much of his background has been mentioned. The article also lacks images – but make sure if you upload one, you include a FU rationale. Contribute!

A tag has been placed on Nim’s Island, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hi Abright5, I deleted this article because it had no content in it. Please feel free to recreate it when there is some information on the movie. Thank you, – riana_dzasta 13:28, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
