Welcome![edit]

Hello, AdamskiOnWiki, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Portes du Soleil does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Julietdeltalima (talk) 23:04, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Encyclopedic tone[edit]

I'm not sure you realize the extent to which your edits sound like either a tour brochure or a travel guide. Please read WP:WORDWATCH for a better sense of what I mean. An encyclopedia isn't an appropriate vehicle for declaring that a resort's ski lifts are "fast and comfortable"; according to whom, for starters? The ski resort? Wikipedia isn't interested in what an organization has to say about itself. Thanks for your attention to this in the future. If you have any questions you're likely to get the fastest response from the editors at WP:TEAHOUSE. - Julietdeltalima (talk) 23:06, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

April 2020[edit]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Portes du Soleil. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Terms like "breathtaking views" or "alpine charm" or "preserved its character and authenticity" may be suited to a guidebook or travel brochure, but they are not in keeping with the tone expected on this project. As has been pointed out to you before, editors are expected to maintain a neutral tone, to attribute opinions when they are expressed, and not to use the project for soapboxing and promotion. Stop adding content of this type. Guliolopez (talk) 02:44, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
