Tip[edit]

Most of the time, comments on talk pages are put at the very bottom of the page. This keeps the comments in order. It also lets you start a new section very conveniently by clicking the "New section" tab at the top of the talk page (instead of having to edit the entire talk page). Hope this helps, WhatamIdoing (talk) 20:46, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adiposopathy article[edit]

As recommended, I have reviewed the Adiposopathy article. It has undergone substantial revisions, and is now in compliance with Wikipedia recommended structure. Where might I best obtain a reassessment of quality and importance scales? Also, how do I nominate this as a "good" or "featured" article, and how does Wikipedia ensure that whoever reviews this article has expertise in this area? Thanks!216.253.109.106 (talk) 17:53, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your substantial efforts on this article.
  • Each WikiProject does its own assessments. Wikipedia:WikiProject Medicine/Assessment#Requesting an assessment or re-assessment is the place to request a re-assessment from WPMED. As the person who does most WPMED assessments, I can tell you (having glanced at it for less than five seconds) that the article is either a strong C-class or a weak B-class article, and that the importance is debatable. You might be able to make a case for moving it up to Mid (normal) importance, if the concept seems to be more popular among either mainstream media or medical researchers than I expect. Ideas with limited acceptance (e.g., new ideas, even if they're likely to seem entirely self-evident a generation from now) never make it above Mid importance.
  • Here's the link to the good article pages. This article won't qualify in its current unpolished state, but a careful evaluation of the article according to the criteria might be very useful to you. You might also consider looking at other Good Articles for comparison.
  • Wikipedia makes no effort to ensure that reviewers have expertise in any area. WhatamIdoing (talk) 07:59, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I looked at this article and tried to fix it up. But it is the idea of a very small group of research scientists and I am not sure that it is notable at this point in time. Happy to hear any feedback you might have.

I and others have replied to your post at Wikipedia:Help desk#Wikipedia disclosure. I know very little about medicine and will not participate in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adiposopathy. PrimeHunter (talk) 01:47, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
