"Keiko"'s Name Does Change to "Kayko."

[edit]

"Keiko Yukimura"'s name does change to "Kayko Yukimura" in the Funimation dub. If you go to [[1]], which is part of the official Yu Yu Hakusho website by Funimation, you'll see that they spell her name "Kayko Yukimura."

Hey, I just saw your comment on my talk page, hadn't logged in in a while. The current revision of the Yzak page seemed okay, but I'll keep an eye on it, thanks for the heads up.--Lord Shitzu 21:48, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Saw you changed Athrun Zala's ethnic background to German or Central European. Is there anything offical that says this? As far as I can tell the offical site merely says his father Patrick was born in the Atlantic Federation, which is why I'd used that.Edward321 03:40, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tenchi/Pretty Sammy characters

[edit]

Since I'm the one that did the format (mainly somewhat as an imitation of the Tenchi GXP character format), I think I will go ahead and change the TOC as suggested.

What's your position on the inclusion of minor characters? I assumed it was OK since it was done on the GXP page.EmperorBrandon 23:11, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm... Pretty Sammy template might be an interesting idea. I'll see if I can make one. To be included on template: Pixy Misa, Ramia, Rumiya, Chihiro, Ginji, Honoka, Eimi, Konoha, Hiroto, Kenji, (minor character), (monster of the week). Sound OK? EmperorBrandon 23:33, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, once I move the main characters of the OVA series and TV series to the template, there should not be any problem keeping the minor characters, there, so I may not add them at this time (though it can be moved later if there is a problem). I'll keep my monster info on my user page, but I don't want to add them to the template until I have description on each one (which I don't feel like doing right now).

BTW, do you think we should add some pictures of Ryo-Ohki's many forms on her/his page, provided they are a safe distance from the spoiler line? I have a comparison picture of Ryo-Ohki's humanoid form in OVA and TV series of Pretty Sammy. I could even add his look from the little-known Pretty Sammy games for an interesting comparison (since he looks vastly different there. I've had permission to use the screencaps of the game in one of my avatars before, so I may be able to get the webmaster's permission). If it's not needed, it's OK, though. Ryo-Ohki's Pretty Sammy section may need some expanding first, too. EmperorBrandon 00:03, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm likely to be pretty busy this week so probably won't have time to do anything extensive with making a template. As long as we have space when the rest of the descriptions are entered, all I may need to do is just create a separate page if I want to include the monster-of-the-week list, so I haven't dismissed the alternatives. You can edit the Pretty Sammy template I made if you want to; it's pretty much only a carbon copy of part of the Tenchi Muyo! template at this point. EmperorBrandon 06:00, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It probably would be best just to keep the minor characters and monsters-of-the-week on the same page. There are some I classified as "Minor" that I may want to keep on the main page, like Misao's parents. While not as important as those I labeled "Recurring" they do appear in several episodes and are more important that other minor characters. May just want to keep all of the currently listed OVA characters on the main page, too, since they all have some degree of importance given the shortness of the OVA series. EmperorBrandon 22:33, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, go ahead, but could you please keep Biff, Makoto, and Hiroshi on the main page. They are quite notable in the OVA (and while they recur, I don't think Ayeka's Henchwomen are that significant, but it's your call). My suggestion would be to give the article a nice and simple title like "Minor characters in Pretty Sammy" (or the like). The monsters can be included on it under a separate heading (feel free to use my monster-of-the-week info on my user page if you want to) EmperorBrandon 03:55, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Power Ranger Comparison Names

Thanks for the heads up on the changes, I'll keep an eye on them as well. I edit a lot of pages, so some slip through the cracks or I'd have changed all of em. Nezu 06:56, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seiryo's original voice actor in Tenchi Muyo!

[edit]

This is one of the voices in the Tenchi dub cast that I'm still not quite sure on. Some sources credit him to "John Lee", a name that appears in the VHS dub cast credits for episode 13 (but keep in mind that this was a list of names, not credited to the role). I am pretty certain that John Lee is John Rafter Lee, since he is a regular voice actor in dubs directed by Jack Fletcher. From what I remember hearing him as Aristotle in Reign, though, he has a pretty deep voice that is much closer to how Azusa Jurai sounds than does Seiryo. On the other hand, I still cannot be sure John DeMita (who is also in the VHS credits for the episode) is voicing Seiryo either. His other roles in the Tenchiverse which he has been attributed to in databases are uncredited, and don't know him too much from elsewhere (Dosu Kinuta in Naruto doesn't really sound similar; may have to look at his Princess Mononoke role again). --EmperorBrandon 18:21, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tenchi Muyo! Edits

[edit]

I always felt that Seriyo needed a separate article. Go ahead.

Also, do you happen to know what race Mashisu Makibi/Kuramitsu is?

Yo! Looking for template help ~~

[edit]

I noticed that the Masaki Family most noteably Nobuyuki and Katsuhito Masaki were missing from the new character template so I re-included those names and then update the Templates on each of those pages. I was just trying to help make sure that those pages weren't ignored. -Adv193 17:04, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know nothing about the series. I am praticaly editing "blind". So I really apriciate that. Thanks. --Cat out 17:11, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not to mention in doing so, you've eliminated the English dub voice actors. - User:BiggKwell User talk:BiggKwell 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Voice actors in Tenchi Muyo!

[edit]

As you may have noticed, I added voice actors to the character profiles on the latest additions, because this is the preferred method of mentioning them in series articles (rather than a list). I am going to go ahead and remove the remaining lists and reattach the VA's to their characters in a consistent format. Be sure to message me if you have any feedback about the format. Placing them breaked after the kanji/kana seems to look nicely IMO, but I'm open if you have some different ideas on what to do. --EmperorBrandon 03:34, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I do have one thing in particular to ask about Tenchi Muyo! GPX on aliases. Now, there is some concern about outing voice actors connecting aliases due to ethical concerns regarding the SAG. However, it seems several people editing Wikipedia (you're not the only one) are really intent on connecting them anyway. I don't really have much of a problem with it. It's only natural for fans to want to know the full body of work of a particular actor or actress. I am concerned a little bit, but I guess it should not be too much of a problem in the case of Tenchi Muyo! GXP. When FUNimation posted the cast list on the original website, they even told us to check databases for aliases. A few are not really surprising at all since they appeared in some of the other Tenchi series (all but the early OVA episodes and GXP are SAG-sanctioned) with their real names credited with the same voice.
So, I guess connecting voices to their real names is assumed when I edit the information in. I'm not really sure on some things, though, the format [real name] (credited as "alias") just seems to add a lot of garbage (IMO) that's not really needed since most of this information has been edited into the actor pages. I'm really wanting to do just plain [real name] when mentioning the English VA, with no mention of the alias at all. There is a kind of compromise position where I could use a piped link [real name|alias], thus the alias is the only thing that appears on the page but the alternate text shows the real name and it links to that page. Do you have any preference on what I do? GXP is going to be a pretty big edit, so I want to know beforehand. --EmperorBrandon 05:12, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tenchi Muyo! movies

[edit]

Ah, that's good. I'll get to moving Sabato to TMiL page, and also getting the movie-specific actors linked to the right pages. --EmperorBrandon 20:51, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A question after the urk! ~~

[edit]

URK! I was so tired last night I totally missed that. Thanks for the quick fix.

I've been hammerin' out profiles and information on Okuda's manga over the last couple of days when I get a spot of free time (SLEEP NWAO <_>), so keep this and mind when I ask, but - do you think more "major" character pages should be created, or that barebones articles and profiles (for instance, Dr. Clay) should be expanded first? I'm reposting this with several editors as Tenchi Muyo! discussion doesn't get that much traffic.

Feedback and a soft pillow would be appreciated. Papacha 19:46, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yu Yu Hakusho

[edit]

I, too, would like to make sure that any confusion is cleared up on the subject. If you have the same version of the DVD that I do it should list the cast on the inside of the DVD case. If you look down to the fifth, sixth and seventh names on that list it says that Hiei, Botan and Keiko are all played by Veronica Taylor. Hope this clears up any confusion there was. Mushrambo 06:07, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't seen the second movie of YYH at this point, so I don't know whether it's Veronica Taylor or Shannon Conley voicing Keiko, but... I think the CrystalAcids entry is likely trustworthy. Credits can be misleading or erroneous at times, though, so if Keiko doesn't sound like Taylor (who has a pretty distinctive voice for the most part) then it probably isn't her. If you have never heard Shannon Conley before, I could make some voice clips of her since I have a few shows she's voiced in on DVD. --EmperorBrandon 06:28, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, if you need a voice clip of Shannon Conley and/or Veronica Taylor, feel free to e-mail me. They would be pretty easy for me to make. --EmperorBrandon 08:16, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kiddy Grade Peer Review

[edit]

First things first. The Tenchi Muyo page is almost defiantly a great anime/manga page on Wikipedia, and through a brief trawl of its history, you appear to be one of the people who made this so. I would be most grateful if you could read the Kiddy Grade article and its subsequent pages a take part in a peer review of the pages? I would be most thankful. The peer review page is here to provide feedback, and if you are not familiar with peer reviews the guidelines are here.

Thank you!!!

Super Sentai splits

[edit]

I'll probably end up doing massive splits; one for the heroes, one for the villains, and others for other major parts of the series. Usually, I split heroes and their mecha and major villain groups into their own articles. I had done this with 30 Sentai Encyclopedia at Boukenger (and I might do it, again, for Boukenger). Thanks for noticing my contributions, and for cleaning up my errors. I don't have access to the anime anymore, so a lot of the data is being pulled from the Wikipedia episode list.

As for the galleries, I do not know where to go from there. On my screen, the infoboxes automatically hide themselves, and problems with lineup only occur when the box is open. I don't know what coding would be appropriate to fix it, and can't think of any way to include images of the 'old' designs. -- saberwyn 08:30, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I would have to disagree with you, "Flame Alchemist" was the episode title while Bachelor Lieutenant & the Mystery of Warehouse 13 were the "Act titles". But, my bad for breaking the link. -Fractyl

Tenchi Muyo! cast category

[edit]

Apparently that is something affecting all of the cast categories and something I haven't bothered with . They want all of the information moved to a listing and the category deleted. I think if it is to be "listified", something similar looking to the List of Sailor Moon actors would look decent. Have all those currently listed in the category divided up between Japanese VA's and English VA's alphabetically by family name, with the actors series and roles listed in parentheses. --EmperorBrandon 06:46, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

a. Yes, definitely list series and episode. Like this:
Hiroko Konishi - Mirei (Universe, ep. 18)
Though for major roles listing the episode probably isn't necessary
Barbara Goodson - Yuzuha, young Yosho (Daughter of Darkness), Ryoko Balta (GXP)
b. It just needs to be split up by language in my opinion. Mentioning which series can be done to the side as I mentioned above. This avoids having to list the same actors multiple times when they are in more than one series.
On the last question, it can be added to "Miscellaneous", I guess... --EmperorBrandon 19:00, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, it does not need to be divided into two categories, but rather one article as a list with two headings (like I mentioned above that happened to the Sailor Moon one). Create it at List of Tenchi Muyo! actors, and that will be fine - I'll look over it. And yeah, you only need to copy over the people that are currently in the category right now. --EmperorBrandon 00:47, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The top three were additional voices in Daughter of Darkness. Mai Kadowaki voices a role in Sasami: Mahou Shoujo Club, I belive. --EmperorBrandon 05:44, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Opinion

[edit]

What do you think of this for a season page? The idea is that we keep all the plots in check, and the non-free images, and compile all the relevant real word information together, kind of like a film article. Then, when there seems to be an abundance of information about a particular episode, split that off to its own article.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 23:28, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean about the production credits?  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 23:42, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The writers and directors are listed with each episode in that table. Minor production credits are usually handled with IMDb. I don't think I completely understand. Are you saying there should be more people listed, or less?  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 23:51, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I tried to keep to the the most notable people, which is who wrote the episode and who directed the episode. The only time I mention others are in their relation to production information. Like when I talk about physical effects, I mention Mike Walls (the physical effects supervisor), because I couldn't mention a concept he came up with, and provide a reason for it, if we didn't know his name. Do you need/want help establishing a table for tv series episodes? I could set up a neutral one where you just plug and chug information for each of the series.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 00:02, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I guess it would depend on the television series. In regards to a list of episodes table for other shows that don't have them... if you decide to create it, you can simply copy any of my tables, or tables on other shows whose format differs from mine, and then just substitute the correct information. If you run into a snag i'll be glad to help out. *Sigh* I need to finish these last couple episodes in my book so I can start copyediting all the information and get it ready for replacement. From the discussion I opened, no one has voiced any opposition to the new season format, so in about a week or so I'm probably going to go ahead and lay it down. I'm going to try and have it 100% completed, so it only requires tweaking, before I put it in place.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 00:18, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is someone that is working on that season of 24 actually. I can't remember there name, it's like "Farm" something...let me check...ah, their name is User:Fram and they are working out of their personal sandbox, here.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 21:55, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Turtle Power

[edit]

I'm out of town right now (visiting parents for Father's Day), so my edits and article reading are limited. From what you say, I'd have to say that having a plot doesn't make it notable at all, and pushes it into derivative works. I've been working on the second episode of Smallville, and though I have a decent amount of production information, I can't (for the life of me) find any criticism for that specific episode. I'd say, if you can't find info for a reception section, on the episodes cultural impact (doesn't have to be more than just a professional critic talking about elements they liked or disliked) then you probably couldn't establish any form of notability (which is what I'm thinking will happen with the episode I am working on). It will probably be best for them to be merged into season pages (i don't know how many seasons there were so it could even be best to just have a "list of episodes" page if there are only a couple seasons) and then merge any relevant info into those. If there is trivia, try and find some third-party reliable sources. If you personally cannot, I'd put it all in a section on the parent article's talk page with an alert requesting help finding reliable sources for the info. Well, don't merge it all by yourself, I'd bring it up on a parent page and explain the problem with the articles there, so that people can see if they can help you establish notability with the articles. I hope this helps, the computer I'm not isn't really that fast, and I have a limited time so I won't be able to see the eps you are talking about until I return on Monday. Domon Kashuu

[edit]

I just noticed your edits on Domon Kashuu, and I'd just like to thank you for helping clean it up! I was planning to do it myself when I had the time, but it is already a huge improvement to it's former state. Comic 00:30, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

YuYu Hakusho Demon Class

[edit]

You tagged the article for speedy deletion under criterion g4, however it was deleted through proposed deletion so that tag doesn't apply. I listed it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/YuYu Hakusho Demon Class instead, in case you want to comment on the deletion. Thanks. - Bobet 21:54, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kamidake's voice actor

[edit]

Phil Fox was only credited to Kamidake in the original OVA series (first six episodes). Jack Fletcher is credited to Kamidake in OVA ep. 7, and afterwards the OVA didn't have any VA-to-role credits. I'm not completely sure Mark Tracy took over the role. It could have been Jack Fletcher still, but he was never credited in the voices section in Tenchi Universe (just as director). Don't really know their voices well enough to say with any certainty who it's supposed to be... --EmperorBrandon 04:46, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move for Kurama

[edit]

Sorry for not contacting you, I've just noticed that you also appear to visit the YuYu Hakusho pages on occasion so here is the message I've sent to others:

Dear Adv193, seems you edit YuYu Hakusho-related pages from time to time. I've started a survey on Talk:Kurama (YuYu Hakusho)#Requested move and you're more than welcome to place your thoughts there, if you'd like. Thank you. Lord Sesshomaru 20:53, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. I had asked you a question at the Kurama discussion and hoped you can answer it. Cheers! Lord Sesshomaru 14:19, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Digivice edits

[edit]

No, I think they destroyed the page completely.

Just kidding — yeah, they're fine, they're exactly how "Notes" and "should not be confused with" should be handled.

If you want, we could also change all the "as seen in" to refs, though I'm not sure that would really improve the article that much (since you are supposed to have some in-line citations).KrytenKoro 18:02, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SMRPG list of characters

Proposed deletion of List of Tenchi Muyo! cast members

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of Tenchi Muyo! cast members, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. —Dinoguy1000 20:24, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you are part of Category:Wikipedians against notability.

I would like to invite you to join the Article Rescue Squadron. Although Rescue Squadron members do not share any official position on notability, and are simply focused on rescuing articles for deletion, you may find our project matches your vision of Wikipedia.

Caveat: I am writing this as a wikipedian, not as a representative of Article Rescue Squadron. Ikip (talk) 19:51, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
