Leanne Togher moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Leanne Togher, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:27, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just to explain, the reason why I moved this to drafts is that while there are plenty of references, all the sources cited are primary, and therefore insufficient to establish notability per the general notability criteria WP:GNG.
As for specific notability for academics WP:NACADEMIC, I will admit that this was borderline. The NHMRC roles may make her inherently notable, but they aren't very well supported by referencing, so at the very least would need to be looked into. Her publishing may likewise meet the criteria. If you feel that I've been too harsh, please study the NACADEMIC guideline, and let me know which of the points 1-8 she satisfies, and what evidence supports that. You can contact me directly, I will review the draft, and if it looks okay I will accept it myself there and then so you won't have to go through the full AfC process to get this article back in the main space.
Failing that, please continue working on the draft, and once you feel you have shown notability, you're welcome to submit it for pre-publication review by clicking the blue 'Submit the draft' button. Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:03, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I've looked through the WP:NACADEMIC, and I would say that she satisfies points 2. For point 2, I can see also that it may be point 3, depending on your definition of an honour, as the NHMRC fellowship she received is both a national honour and fellow of Australia's national medical council. She has also been appointed a fellow at the University of Sydney - one of the highly ranked "group of 8" universities in Australia. I can edit to include better references if that would satisfy this.
