I received your post regarding making an article about custom maps in Halo. However, I would advise against creating it. I would take this time to direct you to what Wikipedia is not, specifically WP:NOT#INDISCRIMINATE, which says that wikipedia is not the place for indiscriminate info. Sure, having the custom maps would be useful- however there is a line between useful and encyclopedic. Look at List of Battlefield 1942 mods; all the mods there have won awards, etc. Point is, unless the maps won awards or are notable in some way like that, they don't belong on wikipedia. I hope I've cleared some things up. Dåvid Fuchs (talk / frog blast the vent core!) 00:18, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: to block someone

[edit]

The proper channels to report a vandal is at WP:AIV. The admins there will take care of any issues pronto. David Fuchs(talk / frog blast the vent core!) 20:47, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

UNSC

I'll see what I can do, some people have tried to make MAC articles before but they really don't work very well. Bronzey 07:28, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Halo articles

[edit]

You don't have to stop by my talk page and point these things about; be bold and make the changes yourself. I keep tabs on all the Halo articles, so I'll note your changes. David Fuchs (talk / frog blast the vent core!) 22:42, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I might have judged you a bit too early there. Calling you a troll may have been a bit harsh, but it was the first impression given to me by your language. It's very similar to someone who's typing quickly without looking at what they're saying, like on some sort of IM program. You can type more slowly and carefully here, and it's generally a good idea to do that, so everyone can understand you. I'm having a bit of trouble following what you're saying. - Zero1328 Talk? 04:25, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For all you know, thats there for a reason, don't clear or blank pages because they make no sense to you. Since you're new here, i've just written this as a message instead of giving you a vandalism warning. Consider asking someone why they put something, or putting the page up for speedy deletion. Cheers, Jonomacdrones (talk) 21:42, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No it wasn't, you blanked Portal:Food/Topics, as this revision shows; [1]. Besides which, as you don't run the portal, nor do you know why it was there (as you said your self), why remove it at all? Why remove content from articles if you don't know what it is? As i said, either ask, or go for CSD. Cheers, Jonomacdrones (talk) 21:52, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean you removed it? You blanked a page for no good reason, whether you thought you were doing it for one portal or another, you still blanked a page because you didn't know what it is. If you want I can pretend this whole conversation never happened and just give you a vandalism warning, it makes no difference to me. By the way, please check your spelling and grammar before posting, its starting to get very difficult to work out what you're talking about. Cheers, Jonomacdrones (talk) 22:01, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
But why? thats what i'm trying to find out... why blank that page? You removed it from the Halo portal, and then blanked it, if the timings are right. You actually had to go into to the food and drink portal page to blank it, theres no way you could have done it if you'd been paying attention. Next time, ask- or CSD it, thats all you do. If you don't know what you're doing, or what you're doing doesn't have the desired effect, revert it and let someone else do it. Its just that simple. anyway, rant over- just pay attention in future. Halo Universe

[edit]

I'm sorry, but you're not being particularly clear. What doesn't mention the Covenant? David Fuchs 22:34, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
