Hallo Alan, I noticed your edits to the Thoresby Society article (it is on my "watch list" as I did some work on it a while ago).

I've tweaked the article in a few ways since your edits. I thought the historical account was quite nice to include, so replaced it, but split out the "activities" into a new section. I've linked to the specific pages where readers can access the publications list and the archives catalogue, and expanded on the various archive catalogues too.

I'm puzzled by the addition of "The Leeds History Society" in the opening line, as I can't find any evidence that this is an official subtitle of the society. The webpage uses the strapline "The Historical Society for Leeds and District". I've removed it for now, but if there is a source for this as the society's official name, please add it back with that source.

It's always nice to see a familiar name cropping up editing Wikipedia: yes, this is the Pam D from the Library, now resident near Morecambe Bay but occasionally back in Leeds to go to the dentist. Best wishes. PamD 15:53, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

OK, looking at a recent publication shows the subtitle, so I've re-added it to the article. PamD 15:59, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And I was about to mention that the title of the "Publications list" needed an update ... but I see it's now open-ended and future-proof! Real time updates. I've added a bit about Thoresby under "External links" in History of Leeds, as there is so much valuable stuff on the society's site that it seems a resource worth including there.
