Hi – I closed the above discussion today; the consensus was to merge the content into Turkish-Kurdish conflict. I noted that you thought the article was closed to edits while the deletion debate was going on, and that's not true.

On any article nominated for AFD, you'll see this text at the top and bottom of the tag:

<!-- Please do not remove or change this AfD message until the issue is settled --> <== top of tag

<!-- End of AfD message, feel free to edit beyond this point --> <== bottom of tag

You'll note that it says to not edit the AFD tag itself. The article can certainly be edited, as you'll see by the bottom message. This message is there because in proposed deletions the instructions are to remove the tag completely if you disagree. That's a separate but related procedure to AfD. (It's not like we could make it simple or anything. :-)

In fact, many articles nominated for deletion are improved during the discussion and are spared from deletion because the initial concerns were addressed. I'm not sure that could have happened in this particular case, but you should always feel free to edit any article that's nominated for deletion, whether it's speedy deletion, proposed deletion, or articles for deletion.

You'll see a merging tag at the top of the article now. If the merger isn't performed, the article can be re-nominated for deletion. Anyone can perform the merger, including you. Please let me know if I can help or if you have questions. Thanks. - KrakatoaKatie 22:05, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on 2007 Turkish incursion into Iraq, by TenPoundHammer (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because 2007 Turkish incursion into Iraq is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting 2007 Turkish incursion into Iraq, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate 2007 Turkish incursion into Iraq itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 21:38, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
