Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~)
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put
{{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.Sincerely, User:Crtew (talk) 17:55, 6 September 2012 (UTC) (Leave me a message)

WikiWomen's Collaborative
[edit]WikiWomen Unite! | |
---|---|
Hi Amgonzalez1! Women around the world who edit and contribute to Wikipedia are coming together to celebrate each other's work, support one another, and engage new women to also join in on the empowering experience of shaping the sum of all the world's knowledge - through the WikiWomen's Collaborative. As a WikiWoman, we'd love to have you involved! You can do this by:
We can't wait to have you involved, and feel free to drop by our meta page (under construction) to see how else you can get involved! |
Progress at this point
[edit]By now you should have ...
1. Moved the material on your user page about Erick Martínez Ávila under the "Adopt a Journalist" section to Erick Martínez Ávila. Copy that material, click on the red link, and paste the material on that page!
2. Run your reflinks tool in the banner (by right clicking and creating a new tab). It might take a minute to complete the operation -- be patient. You will copy over the results from the tool tab you create to replace the existing ref tags in your article.
3. Taken the Wikipedia tutorial. After you do, begin writing your article.
Peer Review
[edit]First of all, Ms. Gonzalez, you have considerable work to do on your article. There is no context, impact, or reactions information. You’re also a little sketchy on the personal, career, and death sections. There are two reference sections. In your info box you have a different death date than in your notability and death sections. There are also no inline citations.
I’m not sure if you are taking this assignment seriously.
Why not review the tutorials and develop some proper and significant information on your journalist. There are 3 Wikipedia editors, as well as Dr. Tew, who are willing and available to help. Time is of the essence. Please don’t blow off this assignment. Mr. Avila is counting on you to tell his story.Joecool2014 (talk) 01:16, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Re: peer review
[edit]Thank you for your review of my peer review of your article, Ms. Gonzalez. You’re a feisty gal; I like that. As to my remarks, though, I stand by them. Please know I was not trying to be mean to you. My intent was to motivate you to do better on your article and give it your all. I regret you took my remarks so personally. Good luck to you in all that you do.Joecool2014 (talk) 19:09, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Wikipedia Education Program: student survey!
[edit]Hi! I work with the Wikipedia Education Program, and I'm hoping to get your feedback about your experience this semester! In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it would be very helpful to hear from real program students about their experience, so we know what to change. The survey takes no more than 10 minutes, and I'd really appreciate your response!
Thanks so much! JMathewson (WMF) (talk) 01:59, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
