Fair use disputed for Image:Thefind.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Thefind.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:30, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discovery Shopping

[edit]

Dear Aml50, I have added an external link in Discovery shopping to a site which is definitely "notable" in Turkey. The site is in Turkish because it is about "shopping" and not every shopping site in Turkey serves globally. In my opinion its characteristics, features and logic are completely in harmony with the subject. Thinking that "DBpedia" extracts information from Wikipedia, and having a site in Turkey in the same "concept" is a good reason to put sites that are not in English. It shall be available for anybody asking "what is karniyarik" to be able to find that its concept is about "Discovery shopping".

On the other hand, the user (with no user name) has noted that the site is not "notable", however the site is "notable" in the local market. Since the user does not have a username (registered to wikipedia), I am sending this message to you as the creator of the subject. Do you have any idea, or is there anything you can do?

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely

Siyamed

Non-free rationale for File:Screen thefind2.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Screen thefind2.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:28, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
