Monas Rajputs

[edit]

Monas Rajputs is a Sub clan of Kachhwaha Clan They are Believed to be Descendents of Lord Ram if we look at the history of the district, then around 1100 AD, the Bhar had made their hold in Bhadohi. The Bhar kings here used to be very arrogant and tyrannical. Monas Rajput Ram Singh Monas had come to Bhadohi from Umargarh via Allahabad.

He stayed at a Brahmin's house in Maryadpatti in front of the fort. Incidentally, the Brahmin in whose house Ram Singh's party had stayed was very upset with the king throughout the family After few days a battle started between Monas Rajputs and Bhar Raja , Monas Rajputs Defeated The Bhars and Ram Singh hoisted the flag of victory over Bharadhi fort and still they have a big number in Bhadohi District of Uttar Pradesh

They are meant to be very Aggressive and Strong in Bhadohi, Today Also they have Land and money Power In Bhadohi District. During the Independence Struggle These Monas Rajputs Revolted against Britishers And Never Bowed to them Due to this they faced some Financial Crises at that Time but they kept Fighting that's why today also they are very Proud Some Famous Monas Rajputs revolutionaries during 1857 were

  • Jhuri Singh Monas
  • Musai Singh Monas

Today most of them are Involved in Agriculture Sector and some of them are still Landlords

Battle of Bhimber

[edit]

The beautiful valley of Bhimber was dominated by the Chib cadet branch of the glorious Katochs, one of the oldest ruling royal families of the world. By the mid 18th century, Bhimber was the most powerful Muslim Rajput kingdom in the Dogra hills region, it stretched from Naushahra to the outskirts of Rajouri, the historic capital of the Jammu Kashmir region. Meanwhile, conspiracies were reaching new heights in the Punjab plains following the conquest of all other Sikh Misls by the chief who went by the name Ranjit Singh. This Sikh chief was able to conquer a large part of Bhimber but was ultimately unable to defeat Raja Sultan Khan Chib, the ruler of Bhimber. Anil.shukla.007 (talk) 06:18, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
