I wouldn't have thought that a an additional citation would be needed when linking to an existing, heavily sources, wiki article which is specifically about a notable period in the council's history. If you have an interest in reliable sourcing then you could have tried citing the relevant sources yourself (it's simply copying and pasting from the specific article) instead of reverting the edit. However, I have now updated the Westminster City Council History section again and included the relevant citations. Antonine (talk) 14:41, 3 February 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for highlighting WP:BURDEN, which I will bear in mind going forwards. May I, however, please draw your attention to the part where it says "In some cases, editors may object if you remove material without giving them time to provide references. Consider adding a citation needed tag as an interim step." and "If you think the material is verifiable, you are encouraged to provide an inline citation yourself before considering whether to remove or tag it." Proposed deletion of 2023 Guildford Borough Council election

The article 2023 Guildford Borough Council election has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
