- Hello DoubleGrazing.
- Thank you for your kind words..
- I am an old age pensioner (senior) and so this will all take a bit getting used to.
- Hopefully I won't make too many mistakes as I 'learn the ropes'.

Editing
[edit]Hi,
Sorry, I've had to decline your AfC (Articles for Creation) submission, since it clearly wasn't intended as a new article, which is what the AfC process is for.
I understand you would like to edit the contents of the Galápagos Islands article? Well, the whole point of Wikipedia is that anyone can edit anything they want, so go right ahead! :)
And if for any reason you don't feel comfortable editing the article yourself, you can make a request for someone to edit it on your behalf.
Hope this helps, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:11, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
Air raid on Bari
[edit]I reverted your edits on Air raid on Bari as these terms have already been linked in numerous places in the article and adding to these would be excessive. You can find guidance on this at MOS:REPEATLINK. I note that you have described the action you took as highlighting, but the blue text is simply to indicate that there is a link to elsewhere in Wikipedia with more information.
I appreciate that being reverted at an early stage of editing Wikipedia might be a bit disheartening, but rest assured, it happens to just about every editor now and again. Cheers, ThoughtIdRetired (talk) 22:27, 3 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi,
- Thank you for looking over my edits.
- I apologies if I was in error - but I did look carefully.
- Dr. Stewart F. Alexander has his own page on Wiki.
- He was the doctor who saved many of lives - because of his Mustard Gas analysis.
- I provided a link to his page.
- I see that it has been unlinked again.
- Did I do something wrong with that link ?
- Thanks again. Aqua Fyre (talk) 01:58, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
- The general principle on linking is that only the first occurrence of a word or term in an article should be linked. There are some clear exceptions to this, where the first instance is, for example, in a picture caption or an info box, and so might not be read by someone working their way through the main text of the article. - I appreciate your information. I was aware of the first occurrence of a word or term - but my eyesight must have let me down.
- Thanks again for your help & guidance. Aqua Fyre (talk) 08:59, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
