Username recommendation

[edit]

Hi! It looks like your username may be intended to be a group username for UCSB Arts Library staff. I'm a UCSB alumna and excited that you all are getting involved in Wikipedia, and I wanted to point out a subtlety of the Wikipedia username policy - it discourages usernames implying shared use, since the expectation is for each editor to have his or her own account. A username along the lines of "Arts Library [firstname]" can be a nice way to show affiliation without implying a shared account. You can request a username change here: Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple. Thanks! Dreamyshade (talk) 21:32, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
