Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Arunmanoharmg, and welcome to Wikipedia! While efforts to improve Wikipedia are always welcome, unfortunately your contributions are not written in an English that is good enough to be useful. You appear to be more familiar with Malayalam language; did you know there is a Malayalam Wikipedia? You may prefer to contribute there instead. In any case, welcome to the project, and thank you for your efforts! If you need help, please feel free to notify me on my talk page. -- MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) Sure it's genuine, but it does not adhere to wikipedia's strict standards, and reads incomprehensibly. Maybe bring up your point at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Maheswaram Temple (2nd nomination)--MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 02:32, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Arunmanoharmg. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Maheswaram Temple, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Arunmanoharmg. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Arunmanoharmg|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Wait a minute, you're a devotee of the temple? Per this MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 02:38, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Arunmanoharmg, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Arunmanoharmg|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 02:49, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I never got compensated or paid in any way for my contribution to Wikipedia. Information about the temple need to be conveyed to the people who ever wants to know about this temple. Whatever was in the Wikipedia page titled "Maheswaram Temple" was the information that i knew about the temple. I am not directly or indirectly compensated or paid for my edits or article creation. This page was created just to convey the information about the Maheswaram Sri Sivaparvathi temple for the awareness of people. I trust and get a lot of information from Wikipedia. That is why i made such contributions to the Wikipedia and thereby to the people. Temple Website is www.maheswaramtemple.org. I have studied a lot to create such a page in Wikipedia and i contributed for that article for the entire people to read and understand. I have made only one article so far named "Maheswaram Temple" and another named "Maha Shivling - The Tallest Shivling" is in sand box for the approval to publish. That is it with my Wikipedia account. I have not made any other articles and i have never made any personal gain from Wikipedia. I have spend a lot of time for making such contributions in Wikipedia for the entire people. I certainly hope that all my efforts get acknowledged by Wikipedia team as its made without any monetary or any other kind of benefits. In this context i request you to reinstate the page named "Maheswaram Temple" and also publish the page which is in my sand box named"Maha Shivling - The Tallest Shivling" as its is necessary for the people to get awareness about the temple details through Wikipedia. I also request Wikipedia team members to visit this temple when you travel Kerala- the gods own country, India. This temple is actually represent the ancient cultural heritage of India and I am proud of it. Thank You very much.
