Precious anniversary[edit]

Precious
Eight years!

We have a topic to review. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:10, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Gerda, for remembering my annivesary! But what exactly is a Featured Topic? Never heard of it, I'm afraid…--Aschmidt (talk) 12:07, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have heard of it. Whenever you don't know a WP feature, try it with the abbreviation WP:FT. It was Aza24's idea to make the seven featured articles that Brianbouldton wrote about the operas by Monteverdi a featured topic. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:52, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again, Gerda. – Do Featured Topics only appear on this page or are there references to FTs somewhere else across enwiki?--Aschmidt (talk) 14:47, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure. What I noticed is that when a TFA is part of a FT, that gets mentioned. Other than that, it' more about honour, I guess. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:14, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, again, Gerda. – I'm not sure whether to endorse the candidature because I'm afraid I do not know so much about Monteverdi and which articles to select when presenting the composer.--Aschmidt (talk) 17:27, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The topic is the operas, clearly defined, 7 articles covering all 10 that he wrote. The bio is not part of the topic. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:52, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, again, Gerda. I've endorsed the proposal.--Aschmidt (talk) 22:05, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your support, and it became now a featured topic! ... exactly 10 years after both Brian and I were declared awesome ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:39, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
