Speedy deletion nomination of NagalandExpress
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on NagalandExpress requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.) that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Atlantic306 (talk) 00:30, 13 July 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, the article was deleted because it did not make any claims of significance or have good references. Also, COI articles are heavily discouraged and should be created through the draft WP:AFC process. You have the option of requesting an article be created about it by an uninvolved editer at WP:Requested articles but if you want to recreate it yourself it needs to go through the draft AFC process and must have a declaration of your coi on the draft talkpage, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 19:20, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
- I agree with Atlantic306 above. No claims of why the site is notable and a clear conflict of interest. --Michael Greiner 00:20, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
First of all your relevancy reasoning and standards seems to be very bias. It also portrait non of you have any knowledge or update of this side of our place.
India has 29 states, among that Nagaland is one located Northeast side. For us being from Nagaland, this article was relevant because this is the only digital news serving a small state with almost 21 lakhs population. Among that 37k population is scattered in different States on India for higher studies or jobs. This is the only media where all those people get updated of what's happening in back home while they are away.
How would it feel that if I comment of an article in UK and suggests its irrelevant by sitting here at my hometown?
I did this article, as I worked for this organization and I know how much impact its making and how important this is for us.
Thanks. Atholu125 (talk) 19:49, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
This below Article is about our Member of Indian Parliament (From our state Nagaland). Even in this article, they have used "NagalandExpress" news as their reference. Check this articles reference and see the relevancy of the article I created.

Hello,
I have been patiently awaiting for a response for your end, either to restore the article or to know if I could go ahead and create the same again. I would highly appreciate a response on this.
Apparently it was deleted for a wrong reason and I had contacted (User:Graeme Bartlett), find the details below for your perusal.
Website: https://nagalandexpress.com —Nagaland Express (talk) 07:50, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
- You have better talk to the deleter user:Michael Greiner about this, as the reason given was "A7: Article about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), which does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject". This article's subject does not look to be an "event". Graeme Bartlett (talk) 08:00, 13 July 2020 (UTC) Atholu125 (talk) 07:45, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
- The A7 speedy deletion criteria states "This applies to any article about a real person, individual animal, commercial or non-commercial organization, web content, or organized event that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, with the exception of educational institutions." (emphasis mine) Although it was tagged with an incorrect subset of the A7 criteria, your article still failed to claim any sense of importance other than its existence. Half the article's prose was discussion of un-sourced Google Analytics which is not encyclopedic. Combined with your admitted conflict of interest your straight reposting of the article would most likely lead to it being deleted again. If you insist on re-creation, our Conflict of interest rules highly suggest that you go through the Articles for Creation process where you can get feedback to improve the article.--Michael Greiner 18:18, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for clarification, could you help me to start the article? The below link could be a strong reference for the article? Because it is none other than Google news page;
https://news.google.com/s/CBIwuLTMzEQ?sceid=IN:en&r=11&oc=1
Please do let me know, if you guys don't delete I will start making the article, in my first attempt, it took 2 hours to learn how to do an article, May be another one hour to write and article, but than within few hours all my works was vanished away. Do let me know if I could start with the above Google as reference? Atholu125 (talk) 19:43, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
- That would not be a good reference for notability since it's just a list of articles on the site. Good references would be independent of the site. The notability guideline has the criteria you need to meet. --Michael Greiner 21:53, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
