El Líbero edit warring

[edit]

Hello Augustogonzalezmor, you recently undid a revert I made to your edits on the El Líbero page. This is not acceptable. I realize that you are new on this platform, so please consider this a warning. If you disagree with another editor undoing your work, you must discuss it on the talk page, not revert, as this leads to edit warring. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 02:25, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Revirvlkodlaku. I live in Chile, Im a journalist and I have worked in multiple media outlets. All the information I put about El Líbero is true and was backed up with links from various reliable sources. Despite that, you decided to delete all my work with weak excuses. Do you know the importance in Chile of the National Press Association? You say there were weak references, to Twitter, for example. But that link you're referring led to the profile of a Pullitzer Prize winner. Does that seem like a weak reference to you? Instead, in your edition you leave references to fourth category leaflets that have no credibility in my country.
Much of the material you left behind is downright biased and contains flippant quotes. Also, you have incorrect information. For example, Patricio Navia is the main columnist for El Líbero and has written more than 800 articles for the newspaper. But you decide to delete it and leave other names of people who are not regular collaborators.
Im new in Wikipedia, Im interested in continuing to collaborate in editing articles related to my country and I apologize if I broke any code on this site. But you erased all my work! Augustogonzalezmor (talk) 00:50, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Augustogonzalezmor, apologies for undoing your work; please know that it isn't personal. The reason I did so was that some of the references you added, including the one from Twitter, are not considered reliable, as I mentioned in my revert summary. It is likely that what you are saying is true, and I certainly don't know anything about the Chilean National Press Association, but that really isn't the point here. The point is that if you use unreliable sources to support your edits, your entire effort appears dubious to other editors. If you are able to support your edits with credible sources, please do so, and I will gladly defer to your expertise in this area. Thank you. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 01:43, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello friend, I just saw your answer. I think we should come to a common point, because that you left contains a lot of incorrect information and weak sources. From what I put, what things in your opinion do not contribute or are weak? Knowing that, I can make a correct edit. Greetings. Augustogonzalezmor (talk) 20:04, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I thought I had explained it in my previous comment. It is preferred that you not use sources that are not considered reliable, such as social media, primary sources (self-published content), etc. Please consult [[WP::Reliable sources]]. Thank you :) Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 04:43, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, friend. I'm going to go back to the edit I made and delete the things that you say it's not appropriate to put. Greetings Augustogonzalezmor (talk) 17:35, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, friend. I've already added a few things and didn't include the things you questioned above. Greetings Augustogonzalezmor (talk) 19:49, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, I went ahead and copy-edited your work. You added all bare URLs, which I had to fix. Please try to reference correctly next time. I also replaced some content that you removed without explanation. Lastly, I removed the names of columnists that didn't have wikilinks or references.
