A tag has been placed on Netmums, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Netmums and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Lots42 (talk) 09:21, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • You're supposed to give a reason on the talk page of the article when you use the hangon tag. Please give references that back up the contents of the article and explain why it is important. - Mgm|(talk) 09:27, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you're working on writing the article Netmums and running into a few difficulties. Please don't take the deletion tag off of the article, even if you want to place the hangon note there as well. Also, if you're going to request that the article not be deleted immediately, you'll need to put a note on the Talk page of the article explaining why you believe that the subject should be an encyclopedia article. For more information on the notability guidelines for websites, please read WP:WEB. Shell babelfish 09:51, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. We're really trying to work with you here, but you haven't responded to any of the attempts to contact you. If you continue to remove tags from the article you created, its likely someone will block your account from editing. Please understand that this is not a webhost for you - this is an encyclopedia; if you would like to keep editing here, you're going to have to follow the sites policies. While I did remove the speedy deletion tag in order to give you time to resolve the issues with the article, I see you have still not provided any sources other than the website itself; since this is the case, the site fails the test for encyclopedic notability. If other sources aren't added to the article shortly, I will have to go ahead and perform the deletion. If you'd like to discuss the article or editing here at Wikipedia, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have - you can post them here (I will watch the page) or over on my talk page.
