Why are you deleting wikipedia articles

[edit]

Avinesh,

Why are you deleting wikipedia articles? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.225.220.11 (talk) 03:19, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think you are talking about Kolath article. The reason is there in the deletion review. Hope this ok, If you need more information, leave me a message here. Thanks. --Avinesh Jose  T  04:21, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Drishyam TV

[edit]

We provide legal TV programs - short films, documentaries, music albums etc - through internet. Flash is the common medium used by most streaming sites.

What you called "ONE CLIP", is actually a full program - not a short clip. If you wait for the full file to play, you will see the following program, and so on - just like regular tv.

On the other hand, if you want to browse the file list for one day, please go to malayalaminternettv.com - where you will be able to choose and play what you like. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jagathkris (talkcontribs) 04:12, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If it is internet TV, it should have all features like breaking news, entertainment programs, live programs etc. I’ve checked the TV site. It is all created flash movie clips. Drishyam TV claims that it is live programs broadcasted. It is not true. If the site is under construction, let it build up further so that in future we could re-create the article deleted. Not now. Check other internet tv i.e Manorama news, Asianet news etc and see how they have made it. Hope this ok. Thanks. --Avinesh Jose  T  04:35, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Articles Nominated for Deletion

[edit]

Hello Avineshjose, I find that you have nominated certain articles for deletion based on notability. The reason why articles have been made for Kiriyathil Nair and Kaimal, etc. is because otherwise the length of the article for Nair will become too long. It is the same reason why articles on Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Karnataka, etc. are not all packed into the India article. Secondly, the articles refer to sub-sects of society that have a sizeable percentage of the population associated with it, and therefore they are encyclopedia worthy. What we can do is try to add more contributions to the stub articles rather than deleting them (which I believe is not Wikipedia policy).Jammedfly (talk) 05:58, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I nominated it because three users reported it as unreferenced and supported for AfD. --Avinesh Jose  T  06:02, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There are references. I believe there is no case for deleting those articles. However, articles like Kolath, based on a family history, may be deleted if external references (i.e. not from the family website) cannot be foundJammedfly (talk) 06:07, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Let us wait and reach a consensus by discussing it. Thanks. --Avinesh Jose  T  06:10, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The information can't be all placed in one article without 1) making the article too long, or 2) omitting revelant information. Here are just a sample of references (this is from the Nambiar article):

Drishyam TV

[edit]

I don't know where you are reading words like "LIVE" - which we didn't use and where you get the notion a tv channel should show everything. There are movie channels that show movies only -with no breaking news. There are music channels that show recorded programs only.

Furthermore, the site is not under construction - it is a fully working site. We don't have to follow in the footsteps of the sites or channels you are familiar with. This is our business, and we have our own business plan.

This WIKI is a public forum, and you don't have the right to be a dictator here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jagathkris (talkcontribs) 15:01, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that I’m not playing any dictatorship’s role here. The article has been deleted by 5 different administrators. Details are here. You may request appeal to restore it (see WP:DRV). Thanks. --Avinesh Jose  T  04:21, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • What are you talking about, Tinucherian? You have been editing for seven months. That is long enough to learn how to behave. Asking you to behave and conduct yourself civilly and not troll is not biting newbies. The fact that you know how to find this image suggests that you know what you are doing and should stop playing games. Please stop attacking other people and causing lots of drama. If you have an article to edit, please edit in good faith. If you do not have an article to edit, please stop creating so much trouble. Wikidemo (talk) 10:57, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: As I can understand from User talk:Tinucherian's talk page, he is standing nearer to block editing wikipedia. As his user page says he has been using WP for more than a year, not a new comer for me to bite. --Avinesh Jose  T  07:53, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your sock case has been reported by diffrent admins. Not by me first time. It is good that you changed your attitude, finally. be supportive and constructive (read this also: WP:FIVE). you also commented: Please Dont try to bait others to moving me into blocking. Today morning when I logged in after 2 days I saw that you have been warned by user Wikidemo of your disruptive edits. That also was from a diffrent admin's comment, not by me and not my concern. Thanks. --Avinesh Jose  T  08:53, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
