I will do my best with the explanation/ change summary for edits - if there’s one thing remote work has instilled, it’s a need to explain actions fully so the next body is able to come to grips not just with your changes, but also your inspo &/or rationale. Short version: I’m not a fan of “‘cause I said”.
Next step: memorise the style manual (and train self to use US-English!).
