Image Tagging for Image:Emory Crest.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Emory Crest.gif. However, the copyright tag you've used is deprecated or obsolete, and should not be used. This could be because the tag is inaccurate or misleading, or because it does not adequately specify the copyright status of the image. For a list of copyright tags that are in current use, see the "Public domain", "Free license", and "Fair use" sections of Wikipedia:Image copyright tags.

License tagging for Image:Emory whitehead.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Emory whitehead.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

image tagging for Image:Bishopjohnemory.jpg

[edit]

Hi, you need to correct the image license for Image:Bishopjohnemory.jpg. You chose {{GFDL}} but they do not apply as there's no indication on the source page that it is a free image. I think the best thing to do is to mark it as a fair use case, and give it a fair use rationale. Thanks. Ytny 05:04, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Emory and Atlanta

[edit]

"Rearranging the order so the county is listed after the metro area; also, Emory is in the metro area and not east of it. After reading some of the debate, this seems like a fair compromise to me.) (undo)"

I said that Emory was east of Atlanta and in the metropolitan area of Atlanta. WhisperToMe 17:21, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
