Cray

[edit]

Hi... that's a nice photo of Seymour you supplied, but I'm concerned about the statement that it's in the public domain. The fact that it was found on the WWW isn't evidence of that. See for example Public domain#Public domain and the Internet. Paul Koning (talk) 18:26, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seymour Cray

[edit]

Hi... It looks like the dates you inserted in the article about Seymour Cray are incorrect and the dates in the earlier version are the right ones. For example, see [1] for his birth date and [2] for the date of his death. Do you have references that indicate those dates are wrong and support the dates you put in? I'm trying to understand why you are making these changes. Thanks. Paul Koning (talk) 20:46, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Seymour Cray, you will be blocked from editing. Paul Koning (talk) 21:01, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. We have some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --L. Pistachio (talk) 21:15, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1. Please do NOT blank admin warnings on your talk page. 2. I do not feel the license for Image:Tetsuya_Shiroo.jpg is proper, so I listed it on Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images WhisperToMe (talk) 21:39, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thank you. recent page moves (Sun-Times Media Group, Lockheed Constellation, ESPN, Seymour Cray, Dubai, Palo Alto, California) do not give a rationale and appear to be opposed by the consensus or violate Wikipedia naming conventions. Please discuss renames and try to reach consensus.EncMstr 21:59, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
