Regarding Hail Mary

[edit]

Hello, Iceflow. It is me ionescuac and I have made the Romanian recording for Hail Mary. You may download the file at [1]. Tell me when you downloaded it so I may delete it. Thanks. :) ionescuac(Talk) 02:42, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio on Noot vir Noot

[edit]

Hi, regarding your message. Yes, If you want to, please do since I really don't see it. Admittedly I don't speak Afrikaans but I do speak perfect Dutch which means I can read some Afrikaans. And yes, a direct translation is indeed a copyright violation. Garion96 (talk) 18:02, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The copyvio section is already removed by User:AKMask. Garion96 (talk) 22:01, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alle 10-jahrigen

[edit]

I believe the correct title is alle 10-jährigen zu uns. I misread the poster when I first saw it but someone else pointed out it is probably 10-jährigen not lojährigen and I agree. Fourdee 01:19, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OTRS

[edit]

I see that Karynn is User:Kelly Martin which is good, as Kelly is a solid and repectable editor and not someone give to making frivolous remarks. I suggest that you start by asking her if she can explain what she was talking about. Depending on how long ago this was, and it may not be you but someone with a similar name, she may not be able to remember. If she can't then the best thing would be to go to Wikipedia:OTRS and follow up from there. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 07:36, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Potential for another RfA

[edit]

Thanks for asking my opinion. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the ever-rising standards of RfA, so I don't know whether yours would be a viable candidacy at this point. Personally, though, I can see no strong reason to oppose; you do a decent job fighting vandalism, and remain active in contributing to articles. I'm not very free, so I haven't been able to do more than browse through your edits, but again, you look decent to me. Best of luck with whatever you plan to do next. Johnleemk | Talk 17:42, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree; I'd certainly support (many of your recent edits have been vandalism reversion, warnings, etc). The only question I have is what does "TAM" mean on an edit? I've certainly never seen it before. Laïka 19:08, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest you keep your present level of contributions up for some more time; some RfA voters are wary of people who contribute very little over many months and have sudden spikes of activity. That would also push your editcount above the 2000 that is currently a common minimum. I would suggest that you simply edit in those parts of Wikipedia you enjoy most for a while and do not concentrate on adminship, it is not a trophy to be attained ;-) If you want to get more experience, I usually suggest new page patrol, where you can show that you know what deletion process (if any) is appropriate for a problematic page. When you do apply for adminship, make sure to give a good explanation for your recent block. Happy editing, Kusma (talk) 20:09, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Laika: TAM is my initials. I initial all of my edit summaries - TAM = Thorsteinn Alfondsjur Malmjursson... And thanks for the replies all. Thor Malmjursson 22:33, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My suggestion to you would be to keep working on articles and not worry too much about getting admin status. If you keep up your good work, eventually you will be nominated and you'll get the admin flag. It seems to me that self-nominations have a much smaller chance of succeeding than RfAs where you are nominated by an admin. By far the best campaigning you can do for yourself is to take articles to featured article status... once you have done this it will be very difficult for anyone to oppose your candidacy. I'm very glad that you have recovered from your illness (I have just had to deal with my mother having cancer too), but I would suggest that you don't mention this too often, since many Wikipedians are wary of supporting someone who seeks sympathy... let your contributions speak for themselves!!! take care, JACOPLANE • 2007-04-28 00:15

Srpska

[edit]

As a cursory glance at their respective articles would have revealed, Serbia and Republika Srpska aren't the same country. Confusingly, Republika Srpska isn't even a country, it is part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.--Methodius 23:46, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, I noticed you saw the difference. Sorry if I was a bit curt, but it would be like me saying Iceland and Norway should be merged. Still, apologies...--Methodius 18:13, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

thankyou.

Apology For Rude Comment

[edit]

I do want to take this time to apologize to you for my incivility and utter rudeness in my previous comment about the "Powderhorn Family Camping Resort" article posted for deletion. I showed total disregard for your opinion which is something I do regret. I meant no harm by making that comment but exaggerated a point that I was trying to make. Sorry. GAC backlog elimination drive

[edit]

This form message is being sent to you either due to your membership with WikiProject Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. A new drive has been started requesting that all members review at least one article (or more, if you wish!) within the next two weeks at GAC to help in removing the large backlog. This message is being sent to all members, and even members who have been recently reviewing articles. There are almost 130 members in this project and about 180 articles that currently need to be reviewed. If each member helps to review just one or two articles, the majority of the backlog will be cleared. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the GAC talk page. --Nehrams2020 01:08, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spoken article

[edit]

Hi. I've noticed that you appear to have been working on converting the article Politics of the Isle of Man into a spoken version for over two months now, according to your entry on the In Progress section of Wikiproject Spoken Wikipedia. If you are no longer working on the article, please either remove yourself from the list, or notify me so I can do so, so other editors will know they can work on the article instead. If you don't reply within a week, I will assume you are no longer working on the article. Cheers, -Panser Born- (talk) 12:57, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
