Welcome to Wikipedia!!!

[edit]
Hello Bbowenjr! Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. If you decide that you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. You may also push the signature button located above the edit window. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. Below are some recommended guidelines to facilitate your involvement. Happy Editing! --  Netsnipe  ►  11:46, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia, as you did in Dental implant. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links as long as the content abides by our policies and guidelines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. --  Netsnipe  ►  11:46, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What he meant here was the Wikipedia is not a collection of external links. It is not a place to which you "submit links". Wikipedia generally does not accept external links, but when they are appropriate, they should always comply with WP:EL. Yours did not. Please consider submitting your links to a real link directory like DMOZ instead. Thanks. Haakon 21:27, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
